The WD looks real good in that color!
Todays task was to fix electronics on my latest Honncho project. I have not really driven it as the receiver browns out after just a few meters. Changed to another Futaba AM receiver and it helped slightly, but stil undriveable. So I popped to my LHS and bought # BEC regulator 6V/5A # New 2.4 reciver # Hackmoto 35t motor My problem is really the Tamiya TEU105BK esc I'm using as it only has 6V/1A output. Which means the receiver can only draw 1amp before it quits. First I installed the BEC regulator to the steering servo which is 18kg one (Power HD 1812MG). The old receiver still browned out. Fitted the new receiver and now signal was good, but still browned out. Then I conneced the BEC regulator so both servo and receiver got steady 6V/5A and now the problem was gone! Now the Honcho is ready for some action Tidied up the wiring and then it was time to end hobby time today as my energy ran out. My bench needs to be cleaned before next work. |
