^ Speaking of MCI Decals, I need to make my next order list, before the 20% off Winter Sales ends this weekend.

Tonight I replaced the esc on the spirit by a basic one. No more running time but more power time. On 9min running time, I had 8' with a real power. With the other esc I had 1 or 2' powerfull running time and 6 or 7' of lazy run.

Finally finished up the Hotshot re-re, using some of the more authentic sponsor stickers from MCI.
Super Stock RZ motor powered by 8.4V Gold Power battery
Gold wheels for shelf duty and I've got some other combos planned for running.

One of my favourite Tamiya cars.
I remember painting my wheels gold at the time. I either couldn’t afford the gold ones or they weren’t available 😂😂

The hotshot wasn't my favourite one but when I rebuilt mine, my idea changed about it. Especially with the rear monoshock . And I like it with the white rims

I like the white as well, and actually picked up a 2.2" wheel and tire set up last February in preparation of this build, LOL!
Just mounted them up. These are from JC Racing Products and will serve as a very affordable runner set:

I started to assembly the wheels/tires for my next build, and thought I'd throw this pic out there so someone can guess which model I'm going to build.
I told myself I wouldn't piecemeal any more kits (who was I fooling?!?) but found myself wanting a kit but not wanting to pay the full price of admission.
So, I decided to hunt around a bit and managed to find separate purchases for everything originally included with the NIB kit, and then some:

* Chassis kit without roller bits or stock motor, but included a new GT Tuned motor (Bonus!)
* 2 piece wheels but incorrect inserts (gold)
* Correct wheel inserts (grey)
* Racing slick tire set
* Metal plated wheels (so lucky I found those!), and a set of narrow tires (Bonus!)
* TEU-104BK ESC
* XB Painted Body (Not in my possession yet, but hopefully soon)

So all of that work and I actually went OVER the cost of NIB by $2 without a box :lol:, but in this case the box is not special to me and I wouldn't display it anyway.
The way I see it, I spent the same but will have a factory painted/finished body with an upgraded motor and another set of tires.
I'm cool with that!
