Do the 6x ribs up the side of the hex actually do/engage with anything, or are they just reinforcement?
Do the 2x raised bosses at the back of the screw holes need to be there, or could they be replaced with washers? I take it the 2x silver bits are threaded? (pressnuts?) Most of it could be machined manually easily enough, but if the ribs & bosses need to be included, it would better be done CNC as it would be hugely time consuming to do them manually. Yes, lets have a look at the measurements & see if we could come up with something easy to do, that would still work

The ribs are just reinforcement, the raised bosses could be replaced with washers (I think) and the silver bits are indeed (3mm) threaded. Thanks for the reply, I'll get back on the measurements shortly.

Where did you get that body? Did you spray it yourself? Very nice job...

Got the body as it is in a trade (for an F103GT carbon rear axle) and adapted the chassis to it.
Looks good but it had a bit of an accident - a frontal crash that folded the nose and left some rips... Nothing major though, I'll use some reinforced aluminium tape for that. Gonna run it anyway. |

First car to get some of the ceramic diff balls that arrived recently!
Not much work on a direct drive : Looking nice, but most importantly - should work like a charm : Using Group C wheel hubs on this car makes adjusting the diff tension a much easier job... The "old" (but still unused) diff balls go in with the rest of the stock : I really have to run this car by now. |
