Not quicker neccesarily I think - that's determined more by the specs of the servo...
It makes the steering less direct and the turning circle bigger. More stable in a straight line I guess. Short turning and oversteer can be created by toe out and the longer setup on the steering arm.

I'd try avoiding running backwards (with higher speeds) in the beginning btw - until the brushes have had a chance to run in a bit. If they're still flat (like when the motor is new) that reduces the chance of small bits breaking off. Very curious how fast is it! |

ok so i dont know the polarity of the wires but if i plug it in and just tickle the throttle forwards slightly first to check its going the right way it shouldnt harm it. once i know it is right then i can use more throttle
