I’ve been trying to get more organised with my spares recently. I’ve got some neat little plastic boxes with little compartments, ideal for sorting everything into size and type of screws etc.
So I went through my boxes of nuts, bolts and screws and have got everything present attached to the car. And I’ve even found the correct tyres in amongst the spares boxes. I’ve got some spare motors so I just need to see if I’ve got any screws long enough to attach it. 3x27 mm. More hunting. |

A quick note about your gearbox As you can see the bearing sits lower than the casing and there is a ?1mm gap You need to put a shim in the bearing cup before the bearing so that it sits up. If not, when the gearbox is under load there is to much room for the diff to push apart and it will slip and grind up your gears
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

Hi Andy, thanks for that, I thought you were referring to this section of the instructions. But thanks for the tip, I've got a Wild One waiting in line. No where near as much work as this, but it's great to know for when I tackle the gear box on that. Much appreciated. |
