I was talking about the regular parts from the Hornet to be able to fit the shocks from it also.
These are the D parts and the (lower) damper mounts...
But then you'd also receive some parts you don't really need.

What you've linked to looks like a cheaper (probably also easier) solution.
With these parts you can fit some generic shocks. These should be about 80-85mm - I've measured.
Combined with the modified Hornet parts (in your ad) this would be an alternative.

ok i have fitted the new lunchbox uprights to slightly widen the wheelbase at the front. looks much better so hopefully it will help out a bit, with the new wider wheels as well.

BEFORE.

AFTER.

wondering if now i got a wider wheelbase on the front will i need heavier springs as there will be more effective leverage on the suspension arms?

That would technically be the correct thing to do I guess.
But I'm not sure if it'll make a lot of difference...

You could also increase the tension on the springs by placing a (small) tie wrap at the end - around the damper housing.
Effectively making them a bit shorter and stiffer. :cheer:

or maybe i could make up some spacers, various sizes to see which works best

Sounds like an even better plan. And slicker - not having the part sticking out where the tie wrap joins. :silly:
